After two test days at Winton in the last month V8 Supercar debutant Tim Blanchard is pleased with his preparation for the tough opening round at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide next week.
The two hit outs at Winton were very different days for Blanchard and the Sonic Team. The first day in late February saw Tim complete over 100 laps – but the track was his with no other cars running.
Earlier this week all the major Victorian Fujitsu Development Series cars took to the track in what was a very good gauge to Blanchard’s progress.
Although many teams were on different rubber and testing programs, Blanchard was in the top three or four cars all day.
‘Testing has been very productive. I’ve learnt a lot from all the guys on the Sonic team and I feel we can really go to the 1st round well prepared’ Blanchard commented. ‘I am itching to get over there.’ Blanchard added
The Sonic Team have been busy preparing the Blanchard car and its sister car for Rod Jane and enters its second year in the V8 Supercar Development series with a strong package.
The first round of the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Development Series kicks off at the Clipsal 500 on March 11th.
